Hidden Treasure / Milan Pilar & Marc Monsen - Above And About: Scenic Moods & Meditations (1989)

Despite by constant gushing about them, a lot of 1980s library albums can have problems with consistency, but not this one. Coloursound is best known for releasing sought-after Joel Vandroogenbroeck records like Meditations, but there’s plenty of other interesting albums to be found on it like this, a sort of synthy new age with a tinge of 80s fantasy. I’m obsessed with this sound at the moment so I ended up including both “Take Wing” (a more dramatic moment) and the twinkly “Meadows And Pastures” on my mix Daydreams In The Garden recently. I wish this could be reissued so more of you could hear it. While it remains out of print for who knows how long here’s another song from Youtube.
