Exploring Colour in Fashion creating colour palette

To be precise I enjoyed this this workshop because I love colour, it was very exciting process for me investigating colour and the out come of different colour palettes. Not only for fashion but  I could also use this method with my other selected disciplines.

I used water colours to mix shades of colours  and documented result.

My initial plans for colour and pattern for my fashion collection. After painting a large section with a wider selection of shades that came to mind when I looked over my research into the Mod, Disco, and Northern Soul music subcultures, I then tried to distill these shades down into a smaller range of my favorites that I think would work best for the collection. I chose strong vibrant colours, as the styles of all three subcultures heavily feature bold and graphic shades. I also looked at some pattern and texture samples. In this I included patterns such as argyle, Suiting checks such as prince of wales, abstract/psychedelic patterns, and patterns with strong geometric shapes. All of these bold patterns are indicative of my chosen subcultures, and I believe will translate well to my fashion collection.
