Inventory Check: Surprise Guest
Salvador Nightbane sounded over the com, his voice ringing out over the little mechanical devices. "Mac, will ya be around later? Just to finish up the latest business, if you're free."
It was Sun’Diata who answered him, his heavily accented voice speaking up when there was only silence from Mac. Perhaps her hands were tied and she couldn’t push the button on her earpiece. “Nightbane. Dere is a job tonight. Sista Mac might be a touch occupied, yeh?”
Finally Mac spoke up. "I'm actually doing a walk through as we speak. Some interesting things here. This woman definitely had an obsess--" There was a loud thumping noise, the sort of sound you would expect when someone tried to bludgeon something hard against the side of a skull.
Mac's mic was still open, her groan sounding though the mechanical contraption as a strange male spoke, his voice slightly muted since the com was in Mac's ear and not the stranger's. "Who the bloody hell are you?" Mac's voice sounded hoarse when she answered, a growl curling up her throat to lace with her words. "Let me introduce myself." There was a strangled sounded gasp and a sick gurgling noise before Mac's com went silent.
She could still hear their voices, including Kari shouting her name through the devices. She couldn’t answer, not with her mouth full of the uninvited butler.
Sometime shortly after she went silent, after a rush of voices over that little mechanical com, Mac broke her sudden silence, sounding like she gargled with glass. " 'm fine. He's not. But I'm fine."
“Clean up well.” Sunshine reminded her.
Mac’s answer was an easy one as she sat there in the carnage.
“There’s not much left.”
She walked through the viscera and pool of blood, leaving bloody foot prints against the wood floor. Her armor was shredded. She was covered from head to toe in the blood of another. Her house or not... she was taking a shower.
