he's not necessarily a social revolution but he for sure has gone viral multiple times. This is Noah Ritter and he loves the word "apparently" & because of that, he's gone viral. He's been on The Ellen Show dozens of times and has had multiple videos go viral!
we use iPads and iPhones all the time at Kate Spade. iPads are used mostly for style studies for the employees and iPhones are used to connect with other stores across the country. this allows us all the be apart of web interconnectivity.
this is one of my favorite places on earth-it’s like my second home. when I took this photo, my family and I were staying in the heart of Times Square (talk about sensory overload). the screens never turned off & the rush of people never slowed down. A lot of news flashed on the screens & never stopped. we talked about this earlier, whoever controls the message is hijacking the message.
this is my personal crime scene. living with two other girls who have wildly opposite schedules leaves our kitchen messier than most. we discussed the CNN effect and how appearances matter more to viewers than anything else. why is this? has it always been this way?
Again, last week we discussed tons of photography and how we can present ourselves as something or someone else. Cindy Sherman was the main focus. Portraits can manipulate the image in so many different ways. This is my sister (once again), presenting herself as that high school girl who thinks those heels are bomb diggity but will realize one hour into prom that they were the worst decision she’s ever made.
we talked a lot about photography this week. Cindy Sherman was someone who took self portraits presenting herself as something. here, I am presenting myself as a Kate Spade employee by wearing a Kate Spade dress with heels. This is like a uniform for the company so that we all present ourselves in a way that promotes the company & what it stands for.
After these past few classes- I've been trying to take more time to read the things I enjoy & take notes. I love doing this in the mornings with my coffee😌 it makes me feel more detached from social media & keeps my head clear. Print is the background & more intimate... will it ever switch to digital? Will it ever be intimate?
Print as a background - How often do you read labels on the items you buy? You know it’s there but never really acknowledge it.
