update to tadashi's main survival / sunfire au:

everything stays the same as described here...

Tadashi survives the fire, but the chemical explosion that nearly killed him leaves him with more than just burn scars; he discovers that he has super powers. Newly gifted with pyrokinesis, this verse explores his struggle in learning to control his abilities as well as joining the West Coast's newest super hero team, Big Hero 6, as "Sunfire".

...but with the addition that he was in a coma for the duration of the film (so at least a year...?) and the doctor believing he'd be unlikely to pull through. i'm making this addition because hiro needs a stronger motivation to form bh6, and i think that still giving him a sense of complete loss would be enough to push him and not change his character development too much.

probably worth mentioning that idk what would make him go into a coma. it's hinted that a beam fell on him in the fire but like.
