Light Us Up! Quick Fire Q & A…
Q. Who is your ultimate vintage crush?
Q. Complete this sentence in one word. My single biggest talent or gift to the world is…
A. ...mildly drunken breakdancing.
Q. Favourite simple pleasure?
A. Cuddling my wee dog Sascha.
Q. What’s the meaning of love? Tell us in 3 little words.
Make us fall in love with your brand! What’s your special charm or talent?
I aim to bring couples ideas and style alive in joyous combinations of ink and card. I made a mother of the bride cry once when she saw her daughter’s wedding invitations, tears of happiness obviously!
Describe your perfect date (or wedding day)?
Dinner, drinks and dancing in Havana.
In your experience, where is the most romantic place in Scotland?
I think you can make just about anywhere romantic but Loch Lomond is pretty special as that’s where I got married.
Tell us about your greatest passions – what ignites your lust for life?
I am a self confessed paper geek. I also have a collection of around 500 fonts and typefaces. I can’t resist dogs either so a dog friendly stationery emporium is my kind of place.
What has been one of the most memorable experiences in your career?
Being sent to interview Gil Scott Heron for a magazine we used to do.
Tell us a personal story about following your heart, taking a leap of faith or making a big commitment?
I suppose setting up my first business and setting out to produce a fashion and lifestyle magazine for Glasgow. That led to many, many amazing experiences.
Leave us a love note – your best piece of advice, wisdom or inspiration…
Always laugh at dogs and never eat anything bigger than you own head.
Combossa will be exhibiting at the Vintage Wedding Show, Drygate in Glasgow on Sunday 11th October.
