I found my first Hericium species!! This must be Hericium coralloides. Formerly known as Hericium ramusum. I’m glad I did a lot of research on this one, because my National Audubon field guide has the former name. I would’ve thought it was a different species. This one might start to look different once it gets bigger, so I’ll go back to double check. (And maybe harvest?) It was the size of a golf ball! So cute!
