Does anyone have any experience with fluoxetine?

My personal experience wasn’t great (I had a panic attack and felt sick, but it was the first SSRI I’d ever tried) so I was quickly moved onto Sertraline. However everyone’s experience with each SSRI is as different as our brains are! Would any of our followers like to share an experience?

Isn't this a panic attack? Anxiety attacks and panic attacks are two different things

i googled anxiety attacks and that’s the list i got. and when i googled panic attacks this is the list i got:

A full-blown panic attack includes a combination of the following signs and symptoms:

Shortness of breath or hyperventilation

Heart palpitations or a racing heart

Chest pain or discomfort

Trembling or shaking

Choking feeling

Feeling unreal or detached from your surroundings

Sweating

Nausea or upset stomach

Feeling dizzy, light-headed, or faint

Numbness or tingling sensations

Hot or cold flashes

Fear of dying, losing control, or going crazy

as you can see there is a overlap between them--but yes you’re right they are two different things. if i’m not mistaken panic attacks/disorder is a disorder that falls underneath the general spectrum of anxiety disorders. so it makes sense that that’s an overlap between them!

i feel like we had a discussion on this a while ago...

but again, i’m not a trained medical professional so i’m likely to be wrong.
