hey so this one thousand risks thing, is there a list? I was on the website but I'm still a little iffy on what it is and what it's all about. thanks. :)
Thanks for asking! I guess I should have shared the full website url. It has all the details in that post. I just assumed people would click the “This is Kingdom” tab. I’ll just post what the page says here for you:
“THIS IS KINGDOM”
A Come&Live! Challenge
33 Ways to take Love-inspired Risks in 33 Days | (November 21st – December 23rd)
"We invite you to join us for a 33 day journey toward seeing This Generation Loving Jesus!
Step 1: Watch Colombia [Esto Es Reino] – A Come&Live! documentary aimed at advancing the Kingdom and awakening the world.
Step 2: Read several risks here to further encourage your heart. (You probably already did that!).
Step 3: Ask Jesus to fill you with a passion and compassion to love those around you as He loves.
Step 4: Join Facebook.com/comeandlive and trust Jesus to give you beautiful opportunities to take love-inspired risks everywhere you go from Nov. 21st to Dec. 23rd. (Receive a daily challenge, along with encouragement on our Facebook page.)
You may ask God for a daily opportunity to love a neighbor or you may want to go spend a couple of hours each week taking multiple risks.
Why 33?
For one, this is the age Jesus lived, in the flesh, on earth. He was (and is) the perfect risk-taking example. These risks are aimed to bring Him glory. What better way to enter Christmas than to share with your friends and family how God worked through YOU to touch people all around.
This 33 Day Risk challenge starts officially on Friday, November 21st thru Tuesday, December 23rd. Each risk will be posted the day prior. The goal is to take each of these risks, not necessarily on the day they are posted, or in the order they are posted, but within the 33 day timeframe.”
[They post the challenge the day before to their instagram (@comeandlive). I post them as I do them (almost always the same day). I share them in hopes that other people will join or at least be encouraged and inspired to take love risks. Sometimes you don’t think to smile at a stranger or ask your sever how you can pray for them or to call someone you haven’t talked to in awhile and pray over the phone for them. And when you take that risk in love, it’s always surprising and awesome to see what God will do; and how you will grow in the process. I love it.]
Here are the 33 risks if you’d like an early heads-up on where it’s going:
Day 15 of 33. // Next time you’re eating out at a restaraunt, ask your server their name and how you can be praying for them.
I was so tired after work I almost went home today, but my sister joined me for breakfast for dinner. Our server really opened up to us! She just began caring for her niece because a bad drug situation at home. She showed us pictures of her on her phone of the little girl and my heart melted. She’s only 2. If you want, be praying with us for her parents and the situation. God loves & cares about each one of them.

Day 9 of 33. // Encourage your parents. Ask God to give you a word of encouragement/Bible verse for your parents and encourage them with it.
I asked my mom to have a Bible study with me and we got to share Scripture with each other and talk about the passages that have been speaking to us. It was very encouraging! But then God did something even cooler! My mom wanted to encourage her father-in-law and family. My grandpa’s 90th birthday is tomorrow, and my grandma is apart from him because of her health and needing care. God gave me the idea to give a verse on love to both her and my grandpa, so while they are apart there is something they cam both look at on their walls; the same verse and reminder. Because 1 John 4:7-12, 19 was the verse I shared with her, this was the verse we chose. How awesome that God used today’s love risk to reach not only MY parents, but to bless and encourage them by blessing THEIRS?!

We were learning living love was not about a one time event, but rather a lifetime pursuit of God's heart.
