A Message to You
They say when you meet the person that fills that void inside of you, the world stops around you. However, when I met you, I was fangirling harder than anything else because you were a legend in my eyes. That was when I was 16 and my life made no sense at all. I didn’t know up from down and I didn’t know who I was compared to all the other souls in world, but you grabbed me by the throat and slapped me into place. Most people, when faced with someone as fucked up as I was/am, would have ran for the hills in a full Naruto form, but no. You stayed. You listened to me every single night rant on and on about how I hated everything and everyone. You listened and you laughed and you suggested. You were the literal savior of my soul and there is nothing I can ever do to repay you.
But this isn’t about me. Today, you turn 20 (4 days after me! Wooo!! Birthday buds/blanket twins! That stork was a little late dropping your bitch ass off though. We could have celebrated together, asshole) and that’s huge. You’re one step closer to becoming the old lady that you already are on the inside. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna find a grey hair somewhere on your head! And that’s okay! I’ll just call you Grandma Ray!
All jokes aside, I love you more than you can ever know. You’re the only person in my life that I can turn to whenever I need to and you’re there with open arms (and great phone connection). I love you so so so so so so much, and today I’m celebrating you. Thank you for being you. Thank you for always supporting me. Thank you for everything. I love you so much. People do realize that it's healthy for couples to be apart, right? They're together ALL THE TIME. Space is healthy, ladies and gentlefish. Take a deep breath, they're okay. Plus, if they were broken up, I don't think they'd be as happy as they seem.
