Really good review by Justin Chang (at his witty best). Delightful overview, from someone well-steeped in WB cartoon lore.
Also steps back and looks at the film's struggles to see the light of day, to the plot of the movie; it goes beyond irony: the movie is sort of a metaphor to itself (and the WB being devoured by first Discovery, and now (potentially), Skydance/The Fucking Ellisons).
Minor spoilers; mostly basic concept of movie, which has already been covered in the early trailers.
