“Dammit.” Batwoman muttered under her breath. Her motion detector was acting up, giving her false positives of movement throughout the entire museum. She didn’t have time to try and reconfigure it though. The meeting was about to go down any minute.
Bridget had been following a case for sometime and it had all lead to now. A deal was about to go down that would merge to crime families and that was not something she was going to allow in her city. If allowed to happen, it would make her job infinitely harder, and the same would be said for the Commissioner.
Of course, she had managed to get a hold of one of the lower level lieutenant of one of the families and after a bit of convincing, got the time and location of the meet where the agreement would take place.
The museum was hardly a typical setting though but it made sense. The security company was on the payroll for the Cassamentos, so they’d be given easy access after hours. And who the hell would assume two crime families would gather in a museum.
She of course had hacked into the security systems so she would be aware of when the families had turned up but now she couldn’t rely on it. Then she caught movement in the corner of her eye. A shadow appeared and disappeared in an instant through the skylight, someone being caught by the moonlight.
Bridget grit her teeth for a moment, frustrated that her plan was somewhat falling apart. She had to take down whoever was on the rooftop before they started a new crime war or stopped her from interrupted the meeting.
