Wow, I can't believe Sozin's Comet appeared in Harvey Beaks!

I won’t lie; at one point, when I was typing out the episode title, I accidentally started typing “The Comet”, and my first thought was “No, no. This isn’t Avatar. Harvey didn’t master any of the four elements for this crud.” (Unless you count air, but that was a pretty crappy use of it.)

The Comet Floats

....I know this is a world where magic and tech is intermixed, but I didn’t quite expect the comet to be like this.

It actually reminds me a lot of a wil ‘o wisp.

For those of you who don’t know, a wil ‘o wisp is, supposedly, a ghostly fire seen by travelers at night. It’s said to fade as they approached, taking them away from safe pathways.

Of course, now-a-days, there’s plenty of scientific explanation as to why they occur, but this isn’t our world they’re living in. Who’s to say comets are really big wil ‘o wisps? Harvey’s done nothing but veer off his path in search of it.

Wow. Just wow. That’s really dark, Harvey.

On that note I cannot TELL you how trippy it is to hear “He’ll be fine, the monster only eats kids!” when Mr. Beaks walks into the woods for his jumpscare, instead of “Pffbt. Whatever, old man. You ain’t foolin’ us.”

I can’t decide if that’s them being morbid or them being selfless, but it’s somethin’, that’s for sure.

Let us all appreciate the fact that Mr. Beaks went online, found a safe music downloading site (because he’s the type to not take risks on that sort of thing), listened to every song listed as “Scary Music” to find the right mood tune, downloaded it, and kept it on his smart phone for this very exact moment.

What a dork.
