since you've designed more wraith captains I wanna ask this again

what do you think it would be like if the wraiths met their castaway/captain versions? (I know you already answered with plaire's so I just wanna know if you've thought of any others lol)

Does the comet wraith try to capture the plasma wraith captain because olimar is a dad and would try to parent castaways?

So regarding Comet Wraith, do you imagine it to have always been a wraith in this "Wraith Swap" AU/continuity where the wraiths are explorers? Or will we get a chance to see Olimar Experience Horrors Forever backstory?

I ... don't really know! when i came up with it, it was for the wraith swap images where, since the roles have been completely swapped, the wraith captains have Always been people (and therefore the comet wraith probably wasn't olimar before it was a wraith. its origin story would be whatever the plasm wraith's is, which is a whole other can of worms)

but, when i drew it again i started thinking ... well wouldn't it be cool and/or horrible if this actually Was the olimar we know & love ... maybe even too horrible.

and, to be honest, my wraiths and enemies as castaways + now captains as wraiths drawings don't have a coherent canon to them, and idk if i'm ever gonna decide one. its just whatever i think is cool in the moment, so each drawing or mini comic is its own self-enclosed canon, i suppose?

but either way, the comet wraith has quickly taken residence in my brain, so i will draw it more ...

I love that wraith and captain swap concept you've got on here and I am not immune to half-human(or ig hocotatian) type designs.

Since some of your post text has hinted at there being an in universe species changing event i imagine this could be something along the lines of the comet and ravening wraith trying to recapture forms they vaguely remember being at some point. And then try to blend into the people or something lol

I imagine that if any of the wraith captains were to try using pikmin to fight against comet wraith it wouldn’t work because their pikmin would immediately just start listening to comet wraith instead lol

(tried to draw something for this but i couldn't get it looking right ^_^;)

the way i imagine it is that (thinking of it as if the comet wraith was an in-game boss battle) it will purposefully try to "whistle" pikmin, and any in range of its whistle will be under its control. pikmin being commanded by the comet wraith would aim straight for captains, latching on and attacking them a bit like puffmin ..

the only way to get these pikmin back is to attack the comet wraith itself to get it to relinquish its pikmin
