Decided to do a small Horizon comic study to test out a different style as well as see what the Harpy AU would look like in this style. Anyway I’m happy with it, it was fun to try to mimic a style just as a skill test
Here’s an Absolute Batman study, from issue one. Original art is by Nick Dragotta, with colors by Frank Martin. Motorcycles are frustrating but the silhouette was fun!
Happy Free Comic Book Day, and May the 4th be with you!
Here’s some comic studies I did.
And also here’s the comics I got today. Not as many as I hoped since my rounds got cut, but that’s ok!
(Red Hood the Hill #3 and DC Absolute Power [Free Comic Book Day])
Definitely doing a style study of @actuallyrea ‘s art and not any specific comic of their’s or anything
Drawing a more detailed background was a lot more fun than expected, especially when I took the pressure to be perfect (perspective wise) off of myself.
I also really enjoyed the mostly monochromatic backgrounds, but the characters were allowed to be their own colors. I’ll definitely be trying that in my own comic.
Oh yeah also this is my cat Jacob (the black one) and my roommate’s cat Pepper (the brown tabby)
Obligatory pet tax. They’re really good buddies.
