COUGH... so, I saw your reply to the question on how you do comics, and that's, like, really freakin' cool to be able to do!!! I Do, for my stubborn refusal to take lessons, want to ask, HOW do you come up with the ideas? And... how do you know how big to make the canvas so every panel can fit? I've been wanting to start drawing mini comics with my friends and I voice acting, but I dont know exactly where to start.
It's fine if you have no idea how to explain it, or if its pretty similar to your response to the other dude, but I was wondering :)

How do I come up with ideas? I often think of a theme, joke or a dialog I want to see. It isnt often preplaned ahead, more so I doodle something and then the idea pops up in my head. Just today i was jsut doing for the sake of doing and this poped up.
Then the situation happened, like "Nightmare is showing Blue the lil dreamling that they have been guarding all along" So I go then build around it, what would the dialog be? the faces its what i focus the most as they convey the emotions and maybe hand placements
Quite simple and very much not polished, I sorta let the dialog and scenarios just pop up as it were, I always try to make something happen, movements so things conect or something idk ahhaha. Then I move things around fix dialog so its a bit more readable and not me rambling and try to do the paneling.
As for the size? I uh, work in a pretty big canvas so I just adjust the sketch to the size I want, see the brush size Im using, sometimes around 8 or 16 pix depending on what im doing. If the thing you are making is to big then just do the ilustration apart or the strip then you can conect them ahaha.
Sometimes I have the comic individualy others I have the colections on them in one lol. This is all pretty new to me if Im being honest, like before this ac I never really made this type of thing, comics be it as a joke or in a more serious way. So I rely a lot in instict and intuition HAHAH
