I just got a glimpse on my latest commission from Dave Ryan. Last year in preparation for Awesome Con I asked him to draw Christopher Eccleston's Doctor Who so I could get it signed. Alas, the convention was canceled like so many others. Well I just learned that this year George Takei will be attending Awesome Con, so I asked Dave to do something a little different. I asked him two merge two genres; Star Trek & Superheroes. Taking full advantage of a cover fron the Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover from DC & IDW Comics, Hikaru Sulu became the protector of Sector 2814. George Takei is such a fantastic individual, I don't think he'd have a problem becoming a Green Lantern.
