Am I the only one who agrees that Sylki and Lokeah ARE weird ships but ship it anyway? Most shippers disagree that there's anything bizarre about it but I find them both to be messed up but also cute and the cognitive disonance gives me a nosebleed.

I find them both cute despite how weird/messed up they are. They are both situations that are impossible in real life, so why burst a blood vessel arguing about the ethics of them? I would say I find Lokeah a bit weirder, because it's a reincarnated child version of Loki and a humanized hand of his adoptive(?) daughter or not daughter. I have no fucking idea because Marvel never makes up their minds and can retcon everything whenever they want. But I am like "Whatever" and just don't think too hard about it. Loki said Hela's not HIS daughter in one of the issues and she was already there when he was a kid. And Sylvie says she's not Loki (and they all look very different). I kinda just used Lokeah as a gotcha for people that act like the comics don't have weird convuluted ships too.

ok but kid loki's conversation with ikol after leah dies implies he was aware of the parentage rumors between him and hela, which means homeboy was aware he could be commiting An Incest when he fell for leah but he fell for her anyways, not to mention the arc were they are cursed into becoming mortals and become (adopted) siblings. AND SYLKI ANTIS INSIST IT'S OOC FOR LOKI TO FALL FOR A VARIANT OF HIS AND THAT THE "REAL" LOKI WOULD BE GROSSED OUT LMAO. Sylki antis are weak and can't handle weirdness in a ship involving Loki, a known weirdo.

FR! It's so weird they act like the comics aren't weirder/more messed up than what we got in the MCU.

why are some sylki shippers calling loki/leah incest, like... sylki are not incest because variants don't share the same dna, but a ship where one half reatroactively was the who brought the other into existence through magic is? none of this fits into the definition of incest, otherwise pygmalion/galathea would be incest too. it's okay to be grossed out by one and not another, but stop applying the term incest to it, it's disrespectful to survivors of actual incest. and also have some self awareness and maybe stop moralizing over one when your ship is also under heat for being likened to incest.

I don't mind if you ship it. As I said in some posts or comments or tags, I only used it as a gotcha because the antis were annoying. And as I said, I will never know what exactly their relationship is because Marvel keeps moving the goal posts, so it's nebulous for me. I think currently Hela was adopted by a previous Loki incarnation because Thor randomly showed up and was like "Here, you're a dad to this girl I found now." Would Leah still be her hand? I haven't read it yet. And I admit I was purposefully vague due to a wish to avoid fandom wank at the moment.

Because I felt a little bit uncomfortable about shipping Loki with a clone of his maybe-daughter I came up with a cope-headcanon that the Leah who was Hela's hand was actually a dead soul from Hela's underworld that she plucked from Hel and infused into her hand (as opposed to a portion of her own soul as suggested) and renamed it after herself, this way Leah can be her own person and avoid uncomfortable implications. It's just a headcanon, not a theory, but when you think about it it kinda makes sense since Leah remarks that she learned a spell when she was "very little" even though she was never younger than how she's seen unless she had an existence prior to being a hand. I liked to play with the idea that hand-Leah's actual soul is from a younger reincarnated Angrboda, since, if Kid Loki is to be considered Hela's father because he wrote her into existence, then Leah would logically be her mother since she provided the blood and the likeness to Loki's creation. Maybe Hela was aware of her own lore and knew that, when the time came, she had to put Angrboda and Loki together so they could bring her into existence. That was before the Thor 2020 retcon so it's not accounting it. And yeah I know Leah and Angrboda were shown side to side in the Pride issue but they were established to be from different realities, so in my mind they're variants... shhhh...

That's a cool way to work around it. And to reiterate, I have nothing against Lokeah shippers. I don't want to be virtue signal about it, in case I made it seem like I was.
