Azalea: Hey Beth. Can you ask Comine how many AUs have been made and if we got any teams finding more info on them? Ya know since I’m running the AU machine right now.

Beth: Oh sure!!

-In another part of the brain-

Comine: Mint... is the Sanders Sides Splatoon AU going smoothly?

Mint: Yeah. We’ve also found the name for Patton and Logan’s group name. The Squid Squad.

Comine: Perfect. Has any problems been found in the other AUs?

Mint: No ma’am. Since Azalea is fueling and running the AU machine 24/7 now we’ve been keeping tabs and cataloging all AUs pumped out. So far no problems.

Comine: Lovely.

Mint: Also that newly made Fairy AU has been popular enough to form a taglist.

Comine: Amazing...

I’ve managed to keep cycling regularly. I can almost run, but not quite and so I have to be patient.  Cycling does keep delivering life affirming moments though.

Today I went out with a friend who is a much stronger athlete than me, and approaching the end of the ride he had distanced me coming up a hill.  something very large, could only be a combine from the sound, followed me up the hill until it was safe to overtake and occupied the gap.  And at the top of the hill I soon caught the combine up, and with no chance of overtaking it sat in its not inconsiderable slipstream.  I wasn’t expecting such a joyous experience.  

The rear of the machine was covered in mud, dried mud, dust, chaff, straw and grains.  As it trundled along bits were constantly being dislodged and sweeping towards me in the draft.  It seemed that each one was bringing a memory, too many of them to register individually, but a collective impact that left me smiling delightedly, almost forgetting to concentrate on what the combine was doing.
