Is Marley's mystery snogger Paul Rosier? Because at the beginning of chapter 13 Marley mentions a 'blonde bloke' in Slytherin who kept glancing at her, and then in chapter 32 we meet Paul who's blonde?
Oh, Paul.

Oh, Paul.
as of right now who is james more angry at? liz or lily?
I don't think you can really compare them. Because, is it really anger? With either of them? The anger is just the way James chooses to represent it. You can even see with his reactions to Liz that the anger isn't natural, and toward the end of his fight with Lily, it's not anger he's feeling, either. So, apples and oranges.
I am surprised no one has asked you this already (or maybe they have and I haven't seen it yet), but what do YOU think of James and Lily's attitude, in regards to the relationship and, especially, the last chapter? Do you think Lily strings James along too much? Do you think the way he deals with the issues he has with the relationship are what caused this strain?
I think they're both at fault--Lily does play a bit fast-and-loose with James affections, sort of expecting him to just be there as she sorts this all out, and James does have to reevaluate what his expectations of the relationship are, and how his own selective presentation of himself plays into all of it. But neither of their intentions are malicious. For both of them, it's very much about protecting themselves and the other person. They both want this to work, desperately so. But in their attempts to secure that, they are botching everything up. So I don't think it's any one person's fault that their relationship reached this dramatic row. It's both of them, and everything around them.
Since the letter was addressed to James, one can assume that, if he wasn't at the Quidditch match, he would have received the letter by himself (we know that the girls were at the match, since they left Lily alone in the dorm). Interesting, because he is a boy and would not be able to reach Lily in the girls' dorms...unless maybe he flew there. That would be a heroic rescue.
That would be terribly dramatic of him.
(But the letter was also addressed to 'J, G, E or anyone' or something like that, so to be fair, I think Winnie is looking for the easiest target.)
When you planned the entire story, did you always know that James' mom would almost die on his watch and that Lily would also almost die? Seems so cruel. Bad Bee.
I never claimed to be kind.
hey bee! how much of lily and robbo's conversation did james hear? and why did he move the bag? loved the chapter by the way! :)
Enough of it. I don't think it would've made a difference how much he heard--there was no point where it got more/less innocuous, no?
He'd grabbed the bag as a way to lure Lily away from Rob, so that he could ask her to go off with him. But once he overheard the conversation, he abandoned the bag and left.
Do you wear glasses? Or have blonde hair? I have this weird thing of basing people's looks on their voice...
I do wear glasses! But am very much not blonde. My hair is quite dark, actually. Maybe I have a blonde spirit? Or I was channeling some Taylor?
Generally, I (incredibly unfairly) get rather protective when non Brits write HP fanfiction. I get all proudly British and all that, and my biased side comes out. I feel (again, hugely wrong) that unless you are British, you can't understand HP as well as we do, but boy do you prove me wrong! The fact that commentarius is the single best piece of literature I have ever read (ok, Jo and Veronica Roth MAY have a head, but it is sooo close!) but the way you recreate hogwarts is just incredible :)
