The sky was painted with a golden sunset, Pia hoped this would have a calming effect on her mood.
It's been two years.
Yet, she was still as affected by him as she was when she served him the papers.
Pia tried to put him out of her mind, but that never really worked. It wasn’t easy to forget someone she loved so much. Guillermo Calderoni was a hard man to love, and it just got harder, lonelier, and more painful as the years went on.
Even after all the success in his career, all the properties and their two kids, most days Pia felt like she was alone, minus the material comforts.
They had houses, money, and more. It was the stuff you couldn’t pay for with cash that was missing. Pia knew he loved her, still did, those brown eyes of his screamed this truth anytime he looked at her. But it wasn’t enough, at least not in the way he expressed it…
