Finally started this big GW2 project I had in my mind for a long time - commander's journal.

I took chapter summaries from our story journal and wrote them on paper blending them together, like it is a real journal. Adding ink drawings, colors and sticky notes really helps with breaking these black text walls on the pages. Even tho it's only an intro, tutorial and lvl 10 story I like where it's heading.

What I don't like is how much there is still to write. For this project I made a document with nicely separated chapter summaries for the whole story, up to janthir wilds, and this thing has more than 150 pages a4 written in small font. I may need another notebook to accommodate all this text...

Mostly Gnom with a little bit of Vloxx~ we're probably gonna beat him one day, but I hope we don't have to kill him. I will cry for the fanon if that happens (and still gonna be shipping vloxxmander... I hope).

Felt like sketching. Too busy to clean it up or color. Honestly had fun with training asura anatomy, the more I try the easier it gets.

New armor, LET'S GO!

A small hair progression sketch I did in my free time. There is a big difference between how I'm drawing Gnom's curls now and how I did it at the very start of my gw2 journey. Adding lore reasons seemed quite fitting.

Personal Story - healthy, big curls. He still had time and energy to care for them, and did not leave any loose strands. He aimed for a blocky hairstyle, fitting for an asura.

HoT - after landing in the Maguuma jungle, he had no time at all to care about his hair. Humid air destroyed it. It got long and split ends made it puffy.

PoF - at the very start his long hair got burned pretty badly. He went to a local hairdresser in Amnoon. They deemed his hair impossible to save and advised to cut it completely to start the healing process. Gnom was forced to rock a buzz cut, which made him look bald as someone with hair lighter than his skin. While his hair slowly grew back, with even tighter curls (thanks to hair products straight from the desert, made by specialists), Gnom mostly wore a turban and googles. He loves the desert but hates the sand.

EoD - it's that annoying hair growing phase, when the hair is long enough to go into the eyes, but short enough to be hard to tie up. Headband / ribbon was a stable and Gnom started experimenting with braids, taking notice of beautiful Canthan hairstyles.

VoE - currently, after retiring from dragon hunting, he got tired of a lot of things. Hair stopped appearing on his priority list. All he's doing is washing, conditioning and trimming on a regular basis (got a habit from his time in PoF). From time to time, every 2~3 months, he visits that one hair salon in Amnoon for maintenance. His curls are long and messy, but on special occasions he does some styling.
