BIO:

Ontari, though born a nightblood, was not taken to Polis as a child to be trained as a nivitiate for Commander. The queen of Azgeda kept her hidden away, secretly training her as a ruthless warrior, with the hope that she would one day take over all of the Grounder Clans for Azgeda. She was trained only to care about power, and to attack all who stood in her way without remorse. Although the Queen is dead, Ontari still waits, in hiding, for the conclave that will decide the next commander. She’s infuriated by the limbo that the 12 clans have been left in, with Lexa in a coma. If she could get close enough, she would slit the commander’s throat in her endless slumber, then the throats of all of the nivitiates in Polis, and rise with tomorrow’s dawn as Heda of the 12 clans. But for now, she waits in shadows for her opportunity to move in and return the grounders to their ways of war.

In one of your posts you mentioned that John Murphy was a good representation of a male rape victim. I'm drawing a blank as to when that happened? Not trying to say he isnt just can't remember

In 3x10, John Murphy found himself in a very difficult situation where he and Ontari were caught up in a lie. Short version, Ontari isn’t actually the Commander in a way the grounders will respect, and Murphy is the only other person who knows, (besides Roan), and she needs him to appear a little more authentic to the people.

At the end of this episode, Ontari and John go back to the commander’s chambers, and Ontari orders her men away, (not very worrisome at this point, because Fleimkipa Titus counselled Commander Lexa in private).

But then she ordered her guards to put a collar around John’s neck before they left (something John was not ok with). She undressed in front of him, he said he couldn’t because there was “someone else”. and then she threatened him with death if he upset her “in even the slightest way”.

Simply, Ontari put John Murphy in the position of “fuck me or I’ll kill you”. Not consent, thus, rape.
