- there’s a ghost in my lungs by vacantstars @floirida. This one got me right in the heart. A really great & beautifully written character study of Carver dealing with the loss of Bethany and his relationship with Hawke.
- all but broken by @commanderkallian. This is a really interesting concept - Tabris hearing ‘Oh Grey Warden’ and putting two and two together - which also hit me right in the heart. so well written, too! I’d love to read more about this Tabris.
- Homeward Bound by The PoetTree. After the events of Kirkwall, a broken Anders and a tired Amell meet in the vineyards of Antiva. They decide to travel together, at least until such time their paths diverge. Y’all know that for all my sins, I’m Anders on main, but he’s a character who can be hard to get right - this fic GETS him, though. It’s a great post-DA2 character study of both he and Amell with action, romance and some really well-written smut: all the good things, basically!
- Bet You Won’t by @jellydishes (which was recommended by @nug-juggler - thank you!). Bethany Hawke and her brother are both well aware of each other's mutual crushes, and what better way to tease your sibling than to bring it up at every conceivable opportunity? A really sweet read - I’m a sucker for a good sibling relationship.
(and again, because I’m the worst, have my slightly angsty Carver/Merrill one-shot that, much to my delight, has made readers write the words “OOF you didn't say this was going to hurt!!!” and “THAT ENDING, OUCH” in the comments. the self-promo will stop now, I swear, I’m just proud of this one)
