She twirled her fork between her fingers thoughtfully before giving her salad another stab.
“It’s just…I keep thinking about he situation at Earth Dome. It seems we humans are doomed to repeat our mistakes ad infinitum.”
A hard claim to argue against. For if human existence was not a string of repeated mistakes, even he would be hard pressed to define it. But they had to be capable of more, because if they weren’t... No, he could not, would not, even think it.
His appetite, however, had fully disappeared. In its place lay the uneasiness which had become an almost constant companion of late. He pushed his plate away with a sigh. ❛ I wish I could disagree... And maybe it doesn’t matter what words we use. Experience, mistakes. But I have to believe that there’s still hope. That maybe this station can be an example for those at home. But it’s not going to be easy. ❜
