     a small burst of static prefaces the angered voice as it sounds over the ECHO device, annoyance dripping from the disembodied tone. “ooooooh-hoo-hoo, y’know--you guys are seriously startin’ to piss me off.” more teasing. wonderful. “i mean not in like a  s e r i o u s  way. more like a bee-sting, y’get it? i can sit here and let you buzz around and bump into shit for days, but eventually the noise is gonna make me grab the nearest and biggest fly-swatter i have.” a bout of strained laughter follows. “seriously, you just don’t  S T O P  do ya?!”

        he’s heard hundreds of other guardians, people, say that to him     ;    eventually he came to accept it but watch his own back. yet something was just the slightest bit different, he came to quickly realize     —-     and he didn’t feel like shutting anyone down. he was sick of doing it to himself sometimes, too. “    thanks, buddy. i got yours, too.    “ and it was nice.
