With yesterday’s commission (which, as I said, I cannot share due to Tumblr’s anti-NSFW guidelines), I’m all done with them and I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank each and every person who was kind enough to commission me and to those who shared my post. It was a massive help in keeping me afloat and I appreciate it so much.
With that in mind, I do intend to keep commissions open for anyone who might still be interested. Hours aren’t likely to improve anytime soon (for at least a month, if I’m gauging the seasonal situations right), so I’m definitely still available if y’all want some art from me.
But even if you don’t, I still appreciate all of you.
As a side note, really quick: I did notice a couple people who reblogged my original commission post who were (understandably, I admit) looking at my username and assuming that the commissions were a scam. So I thought I’d take a hot second to clarify that my username is literally just the nickname ‘Sammy’, but with a ‘c’. My first name is Samantha (though I tend not to go by that cuz I don’t really like it, I usually go by 'Sam' in most settings) and, when I was a kid, the guy my mom was seeing had a daughter who had the same name, so shit got really confusing whenever they’d call one of us, regardless of whether or not I’d go by ‘Sam’ and she’d go by ‘Samantha’, and vice versa. So, to make things easier, stepdad decided one day that his daughter would be ‘Swammy’ (cuz her last name starts with ‘W’) and I’d be ‘Scammy’ (cuz my last name starts with ‘C’). I’ve used that nickname ever since cuz I love the sound of it.
That’s all it is. I do get the impulse to see the word ‘scam’ in my name and assume the worst and I don't necessarily expect you to just take me at my word, but it's not like that. And I would hope, at least, the fact that I’ve posted all my commissions (with the exception of the last one because I'm trying to follow the rules) and even the WIPs of them as I went along is proof enough that I’m on the level and I was just genuinely asking for help, which is hard enough to do without having some made-up ulterior motive.
