Hey commission artists, quick question

Would you consider it rude or helpful if a client sketched on your WiP to request a change?  I know there’s not going to be any 100% yes or no answer because every artist is different, but I’m curious. Assuming you’d asked a client if they’d like any changes made on a WiP, and assuming their requested changes weren’t too dramatic, would you find it helpful if they sketched on your WiP? For example: ‘could you make her chin more angular like this?’ Or would you prefer they just describe it?

I need to open emergency commissions but I have a question - can I draw fanart as well or is that illegal? Because I've seen artists opening "(insert franchise here) commissions"

I've read that companies tend to not go after very small artists because they fly under the radar but I wanted to ask just to be safe.

i say that i will start taking commission and then i don’t post anything, i know. i have a problem: i am very insecure, why would people take commissions from me when there are so many other better artists? plus i do more traditional art while usually digital drawing are prefered. can you answer me down here? do you think people people would enjoy my art enough to ask a commission?
