Common things eh? I have a few

I like to throw dreams in there. Whether it be fever induced or nightmares or good dreams, I think what they fear the most or prize the most can be shown effectively and with room to elaborate in those areas

Another thing is that I love to throw in angst. A lot. Whether it be more emotional like from an argument and peoples feelings were hurt to injured to close calls with death. It’s one of my strengths and well, I like it.

I throw in family like ties a lot too. I don’t think I have a character without having a moment of “this is my family”.

Umm there's a few common things...engagement, marriage, childbirth....idk
