Want to know something a little sad? These #commonhousesparrows are not so common these days. They used to be just everywhere, in big flocks, chirpy-chirping. The house sparrow is now red-listed as a species of high conservation concern. Their population in urban-suburban settings like my garden have declined 60% in the last 100 years. I mostly keep food out for these guys over winter.
