It is funny how programming changed throughout the years. Way back in the old days, we had to be some type of mathematical geniuse before we could even think about, uhm, thinking code... They say that necessity is the mother of all inventions, but in my opinion that is not true when it comes to the complexities programming.
Frustration is the new mother of programming inventions!! But non the less things change quickly. These days you don’t have to write a single bit of complex code if you need to make something pretty and useful. There are amazing tools and already written libraries that we just stick together to make an awesome looking, high performant piece of software of which you didn’t write a single line of code! Scary stuff!
We passed the information age quite a while back so I say, today we live in the communication age. We care less and less about the information at hand and more about the reach and speed at which it can be shared. These days it is all about getting the information from the source to the destination, Facebook, WhatsApp... Not so? Take a good look at history, as soon as the highest demanded aspect of life is made abundant, need for another arises, regardless if everyone is on par.
We have the information and the world is geared towards getting more and more, petabytes upon petabytes ready to pop-up on your computer. smartphone or even fridge door. Millions of people coming up with the same crap, at the same time...everyday! But how available is that information? So welcome, ladies and gentleman, to the communication age...boom!
Here you will find that the form of the information is twisted and skewered to perfection! More and more apps designed to be in the palm of your hand. Anything you would like to know! Anything! Ok well, except next door Sally’s breast size obviously!
That is why massive companies such as Google, Microsoft and Facebook is coming up with new innovative ideas such as the Hololense... The way we share information is still not perfect, yet another sign that we are in the communication age... Believe me yet? Go think about it..
