See the thing is, Saerig isn't even a main OC, they're a minor OC who's the child of a main OC but i was very affectionate toward them at the time i made this blog and i had. absolutely no inspiration about what to chose as an URL. So I went, Fuck it.

Basically, Saerig's an alien, they're part of a rare species scattered around the universe that travel planet to planet in hope to meet up with one another. Parents don't naturally care for their children, they usually teleport them to the nearest planet they were born by so they can nest into some of the strongest native lifeforms there and grow, and then all three progenitors go on their respective way to repeat the process with different members. It's current that parents and children do not meet at all.

So Saerig was living their life, except one day, a chance of one in a million, they just. Run into one of their parent, the main OC, who has gone through Character Development™ after living with humans for years, and who has adopted an alien child-now-recently-adult from an even rarer species and the two of them (along with some alien friends) are looking for the birthplace of the adopted child : a very well hidden planet, perhaps the most hidden one.

So at first Saerig is curious so they hang around, and is confused af by the unnatural love and care from their parent, newfound sibling, and overall travelling crew, and by the end they've decided to stay so they officialy become a crew member. Its the found family trope babeyyy

love 'em, obviously, definitely wish we got more about them in general post claw arc but at least the canon names were a nice touch, plus as anticipated, people have been making lots of content of them since season 2 so it's cool, I like the hc that they needed time apart of one another until eventually being actually close friends instead of immediately keeping in touch after Claw fell
