Marianne Virgili: American Chamber of Commerce Executives Recognizes Leading-Edge Communications Practices
Since 1985, Marianne Virgili has served as President, Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Organization, Chamber of Commerce. During her tenure, Ms. Virgili has received 16 Awards for Communications Excellence from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). The ACCE serves over 7,000 members who mange 1,200 chambers of commerce across the U.S. and Canada. Tthe organization offers various awards programs to recognize outstanding accomplishments by ACCE members. One program, called Awards for Communications Excellence (ACE), specifically honors achievements in all areas of communications. Each year, a judging panel awards Grand Award trophies and Award of Excellence certificates in the four categories of advertising and marketing, campaigns, electronic, and publications. These awards—plus two Best in Show awards—are handed out at the ACCE annual convention. ACE judges score entries based on design/visual impact, message clarity, and results achieved. Annual ACE winners represent the leading edge of communications practices in chambers of commerce throughout North America.
