Forming Stronger Communities
I don’t believe we are as close as we should be in communities. I first would like to give thanks to all of the Equal Opportunity Employment Businesses that will hire felons and folks with checkered pasts. U R giving them second chances. •Please do this for me, If ur businesses are short of staffing, start printing out Help Wanted ads and take your ads by the Work Release centers and other facilities close in your areas. Have the staffing there form a job posting board, and ask them to pin up ur ads on them. The job posting boards needs to be placed on a wall in a common area at those facilities. That way it makes it easier for those inmates at those facilities to see your job ads and apply for employment accordingly. This process I believe will help form trust, safer streets and more togetherness in communities. I know a lot of you may be too busy and don’t have the time to drop by the facilities personally with your ads. So you can call theses facilities and get their fax numbers and fax over your help wanted ads or another idea is simply calling and leaving your help wanted information with the staff member there. The staff can jot down your information over the phone and then post it on their bulletin boards.
