outlook dire for June -

At least for now. I've put this off for as long as I could, but as much as I hate resorting to it again, I have to ask for help.

I spent the last of my resources yesterday to pay for a room this week--leaving me with literally $5.60 to my name. I'm rationing my food right now and will likely run out by Wednesday suppertime (which also means no birthday cake tomorrow, let alone even a slice). Trying my best to stay upbeat and not worry about what comes next week. While praying that I can get some sort of advance on my pay (which is complicated by the fact that my State I.D. got lost on the way to a friend's address it was supposed to be forwarded to; Management is not inclined to make an exception for the transaction without it). So, any donations would be greatly appreciated, along with reblogs of this post...and of course, your prayers.

Ultimately, I'm also going to need to raise some funds to cover lodging for next week, as I don't get paid again until June 18th. I will be reblogging this post daily, so if you don't want to keep seeing it, you can block the tag #coping with homelessness.

So I am normally not the type that asks for help of any sort, heck I am more likely than not to just curl up in a ball and cry, such is the fear of asking for ANYTHING from ANYONE.

But we need your help, my partner and I are in some drastic financial need, we have a total of $.54 in our account and we need to get through until a week friday when we get paid again. Life has been kicking us in the butt for a chunk this last year, and we have tried everything else, and now we are at this GoFundMe.

I know not everyone can donate, and that is absolutely understandable, but if folks can even boost that would be amazing!

housing update ~

So, my sister will be having hip replacement surgery the first week of November, and if everything goes as planned, I'll be staying with her during her recovery, which we expect to last 6-8 weeks. I'll be taking state-paid leave (60% of normal pay) in order to care for her, as she lives about 90 minutes away from where I work. Hopefully afterwards, she'll let me stay permanently (paying rent) and I'll be able to transfer to a Walmart locally.

In the meantime, I will have to continue staying week-to-week at various motels, as eligibility for the low-income housing list remains closed. Over the next couple of weeks, I need to try to raise money to help cover that cost. I know it's an uphill struggle and I hate even resorting to it again, but I can only pray and hope there are those reading this still able to help. My immediate goal is to raise $265 over the remainder of July.
