#WorkFromHomeProblems: "[Working from home is] distracting on it's own. Some people can work and be productive, but i feel like you can only do that so many days in a week. Either work at home or work at a coffee shop. There might also be distractions at a coffee shop because not everyone goes to a coffee shop to work."

co.lab to the rescue: "Right now we're at a phase, in which we have a small team. We're still trying to build capital. This is a good way to have a routine and feel grounded, instead of working from home everyday.

It's better for us financially, at the moment. Instead of setting up our own office and having to furnish it and spend all that money. It's a good stepping stone for us to be here, and the free coffee is a nice perk!"

The Power of Community

This month we were all about community and what each of us could bring to it. Having launched the community wall in January, this month, we wanted to know what drove our coworkers to do what they do. Domination, love, local music, travel, and change for the Philippines were just some of the answers that we received. The best part? Knowing that each of our coworkers are fueled by something they're passionate about. 

February has been a month of sharing - ideas, food, time, and space, more so within the co.lab community. That's why despite the community wall, we decided to ask two of our coworkers to tell us what it was that helped them become productive at co.lab. Here's what they had to say:

"It is a modern work environment that provides you with the tools and freedom to bring out your potential. Instead of sitting on your own at home, you feel like in the same boat of "going to work" like everyone else around you (even if they work in completely different industries). You can meet people with different skills and from different backgrounds, make coffee break friends and relax during the infamous jelly." - Hanna Ebeling, LGTVP

" Meeting so many people doing exciting things. The bototoys. The whiteboard walls for sketching. The fact that there's a vegetarian cafe AND a yoga studio in the same building. That the key is a fingerprint biometric. That Gisa and Rey play cool music in the kitchen. " - Tom Dane, Solar Sailor

It seems we all have something unique to bring to the community and with the talents of each of our coworkers, they continue to inspire one another to perform.
