I began working with a new group of artists and advocates at the Freedom School this afternoon. Three young women are taking on public policy advocacy to support better resources for feminine hygiene products in schools.

Our first formal session took place yesterday at the McDonough Rec Center. IP artists Fetehi and Sabrin Mohamed did a fantastic job putting the word out and registering a new generation of digital storytellers. We started our work by writing, playing games and getting to know each other. I can see already how happy our new teachers are to be leading the way for a new generation. Makes me so proud of In Progress and the community we have created.
