Liverpool juara Community Shield edisi ke-100

Liverpool memenangi Community Shield ke-16 dengan menewaskan Manchester City 3-1. Ini merupakan kemenangan pertama mereka sejak 16 tahun lalu.

Perlawanan diadakan di Leicester, kerana Wembley merupakan venue final Euro Wanita esok.

Jaringan pembukaan dilakukan oleh Tren Alexander-Arnold, sebelum Julian Alvarez menjaringkan gol penyamaan selepas diteliti oleh VAR dengan agak lama.

Mohamed Salah menjaringkan penalti selepas tandukan Darwin Nunez terkena tangan Ruben Dias. Nunez seterusnya menjaringkan gol ketiga selepas umpanan oleh Andy Robertson.
