"CHRISTMAS TREATS" BY PRASHANT SHRESTHA FOR COMMUNITY WORDSMITHS
merry christmas! we have prepared a lovely little christmas gift for you, a heartwarming short story by our first community wordsmith, prashant shrestha, titled “christmas treats!”
prashant lives in kathmandu, and is someone who searches for warmth in stories. not one for the maudlin, he seeks hope and something “human.” as a poet, he searches for beauty not only in the words, but also within the characters and the plot. thus, he wrote something that he himself as a reader would’ve loved to read: christmas treats! regarding christmas treats, he says, “i have always wanted to volunteer somewhere. so, in my imagination, carl volunteers in an orphanage. [this story] is about love and how our little acts can mean a lot to others.”
