THE ANSWER IS NO YOU WILL GET STOMPED BRO 😭
TUMBLR USER POINTSPACE ENTHUSIAST!!
Despite my interest in learning more I do not actually know all that much about competitive phighting and I assumed that you would be probably the best person to come to about it. Hit me with anything you got. Literally anything, in any order, your favourite teams, team comp strategies, obscure terminology, like literally anything at all
OH MY GOD SOMEONE ASKED ME TO YAP ABOUT MY SPECIAL INTEREST THIS IS THE BEST OKAY LONG POST CHAT I AM NOT SORRY :3
Something I wanna get out of the way immediately is that the terms "phighting scrims" and "competitive phighting" (contrary to popular belief) are not interchangeable!! They are 2 communities that just have a LOT of overlap. Scrims are just more organised matches of phighting and can be played casually, and whilst all competitive matches are scrims, that doesn't make all scrims competitive (In fact, most aren't competitive and are casual). The comp phighting community is just a subcategory of the scrim scene as far as I see it
A couple major teams I'd say would be good to know about would probably be Rat zone/Dream team, Yuri Coalition/YC, spectre, nightmare, Nebula overdrive, ayy gang and prestigious pros (or at least these are the comp teams I actively follow, there's so many out there I'd definitely recommend checking any others out too!!)
A basic rundown on these teams:
Rat zone/Dream team: this teams been around for a while (march 2024 as far as I can find) but I don't think they've ever actually won a CRC tournament but they're a good and notable team nonetheless
Yuri Coalition: YC has been an established team since CRC rival revolt (where they placed 3rd in their underdog run) and then went on to win the 1st qualifier for the official boggio major (looming tempest), they're a team known for many things such as their almost undefeated iron cafe comp, doing lots of scrims both in and outside of tourney, having a roster of talented and well known players and a bunch of other stuff
Spectre: a team of highly experienced players, pretty well known team but I don't know a whole lot about them personally
Nightmare: extremely well known and notable team, they've been around since 2024 and are still active to this day, they were the winners of summer sweep, darkest days and rival revolt
Nebula overdrive: newer team (they formed mid 2025 I believe?), they're having a good run in storm surge so far though so they'd be a team I'd keep an eye on
AYY gang: pretty well known team, had an absolutely legendary underdog run in CRC sealious series
Prestigious pros: one of the most well known teams in the scene, was originally a merge of two teams, these guys were also the people to establish double tank/banana as the meta after tana's Rework
Honestly the only crucial terminology you'll need to know are:
-IGN: in game name (Roblox username)
-bo(number): best of (however many rounds)
-map pool: a list of which maps are allowed/disallowed in a scrim
-Scrimmick: a scrim with a gimmick added, usually breaks the competitive ruleset
As far as team comps go it really depends, but usually you'll want a healer, a tank, a tankbust and a dive
This is where it gets complicated, it's about being able to read the situation, guessing their comp, counterpicking, and also knowledge of phighters and their strengths and weaknesses on different maps
For example if you know the enemy team has a good tank, you might want to run double tankbust in an attempt to counter that. Comps can also depend on game mode because for example whilst having 2 tanks can benefit you on conquer, the low mobility of these characters can put you at a major disadvantage on annihilate
There's so much more I could say but I'm gonna leave it here for now because I think I covered the important stuff in my mind? I hope this is helpful and feel free to ask any further questions :D!!
Checkmate should scrim yc it would be peak
