Optimus Rhymes | 'Toon Logic' (prod. by CompanyHen) [Video]
Being introduced to some fresh new artists, my attention was brought to a 23 year-old rapper who goes by the name of Optimus Rhymes, hailing from North Carolina. The young emcee has opened for Asher Roth and 2 Chainz and cyphered with Phife Dawg (A Tribe Called Quest) and is currently preparing on releasing his sophomore LP entitled 'Third-Eye Boogers'. The first single taken from the project is a CompanyHen-produced track entitled 'Toon Logic', which is perfect for my rap-skateboarding/cruising playlist. When describing what his music sounds like, Rhymes stated,
"Think Black Dynamite + My Little Pony + Care Bears, then throw all that shit away and start over."
