Company Loyalty

If you work for One of those companies That asks for Demands, really Your loyalty Give it to them If you're so inclined If you're the kind of person Who values loyalty Just don't expect For one single, solitary second That the company Is going to reciprocate Your feeling Ever No matter what The Supreme Court Or the Congress May say Corporations are not people They don't have feelings They do not care About you The very second Your usefulness to them Is over You're gone That's it Now, there are those Who will tell you That's the way It's supposed to be That's the free market working Well, maybe they're right I don't know But if that's the case Can we please do away With the ridiculous fiction That we owe allegiance To the company? We don't owe anything To anybody Or any group of people Who will not extend The same courtesy To us Simply put We Don't Owe Them Shit Period © David Rutter 2013
