I believe it’s a combination of both: personal insecurity and fear of losing relevance. When someone enters a relationship expecting public approval and doesn’t get it, it’s natural to feel the need to compensate somehow. In her case, external validation seems very important, which explains the contradictory behavior: trying to appear private but quickly responding when questioned.

If the relationship were truly solid and happy, she wouldn’t need to prove anything to strangers on the internet. This constant need for reassurance sounds more like a sign of instability than confidence.
