My list of complex male characters I had once a crush on. What can I say I have a very peculiar taste in men...
I lied, put your clothes back on, you're actually going to listen to me go on a detailed rant on how Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen is heavily mischaracterized or otherwise has the many dimensions of his character ignored by the fandom because he's "hot" and that's all that many deduce him as.
All Time 5 Favorite Male Characters
Thanks @arkadiaschancellor for the tag! I’ve thought about it for a coupla days because this was tougher than I thought it would be! There are so many great male characters out there!
1. Gilbert Blythe as played by Jonathan Crombie in Anne of Green Gables. Will pretty much love him until I’m dead.
2. Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks. Boy did he suck me in.
3.Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So much more than meets the eye.
4. Billy Costigan in The Departed. This character fascinates me. Will never get over this storyline.
5. John Murphy, The 100. What can I say, I like complex.
Honorable Mention - Petyr Baelish, Game of Thrones
UGH! Too hard to narrow down! If I got to 10, I’d add two of my favorite “dad” characters - Jacapo Sinclair from The 100, and Ser Davos from GOT. I’d put M’Baku on this list too, along with Raul Julia’s version of Gomez Addams. And last, but not least, probably Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid movies, because who didn’t want to learn from him?! Although yeah, I know that adds to 11.... see, this is too tough!
If you want to play, consider yourself tagged by me!
Debbie Gallagher: A product of her environment who was failed by pretty much everyone
Clark: Middle aged man going through a divorce and mid life crisis who puts others in danger to explore the Backrooms
Severus Snape: The result of growing up in poverty and an abusive home
Sheldon Cooper: Autism
Eugene Porter: Autism
Beck: Young woman with her own issues just trying to figure it out and making mistakes in the process
My list of complex male characters I have rooted for or liked at some point in my life in no particular order. I don't own any of the gifs, I just saved them from the web.
Chandler Bing from friends, what a charming complex character that I loved to rooted for. Of course this is all thanks to how Matthew play his character in a way so humorous and so relatable. He made me tear up with his performance just as much as he made me laugh. His character also went from being scared to commitment to being so committed and loyal to Monica. I'm glad that Matthew refuse to made his character cheat even if the writers wanted that to happen. He would've been right if they had made them cheat, I don't know if I would've love his character as much if he had cheated on Monica.

Barney Stinson, now this is a complex character that if it wasn't for Neil charm and likability, I would've hated him and definitely not rooted for him yet he gave so much heart and depth to his character that he would won me over and over again.

Marshall Eriksen from How I met your mother. Although he is definitely more on the sweet side than "complicated", he still had moments where I wasn't on his side. I know the fans like to put him on this pedestal and although he is the least problematic from the guys of the gang that I can safely said and admit because he is better than Barney and Ted combined, it doesn't mean he didn't had his flaws and faults. But overall he is so sweet and kind and I loved him and Lily despite how messy they could be too.
