It was a ridiculous task, using aegyo on as many people as he could to get them to smile, but it actually was not all that bad compared to what it could have been. Making people smile was something that never failed to boost his mood as well, and so he was fairly enthusiastic when he stepped out into the hallway with the camera he had been given to film himself during some of his most embarrassing moments in life – maybe he was exaggerating, but that was what it felt like. Perfect timing, he thought to himself when he spotted Jay Park, an acquaintance of his who happened to room on the same floor of the building, down the hallway. “Hey, Jay Park, do you have a moment?”, James called out, naturally switching to English without consciously noticing it because it was still a lot more comfortable for him and he knew the other would understand what he was saying either way. “I was thinking of an aegyo battle,” he stated then, the camera in his hands probably making it obvious that this was not some spontaneous idea for a fun reunion, but he continued with the act nevertheless, winking at the other while using his free hand to shoot a so-called love gun at him – which was actually just pointing one’s index finger at someone all of a sudden, but maybe James was just clueless about the art of aegyo.
