BOOKS.
A Bookseller’s House, next Door to the Swan in Little Britain, being to be Lett on Midsummer Day next, the Remainder of his Dooks [sic] will be sold at easy Rates, every one picking out what he will. The Sale will begin this Day, being the 10th Instant, and end on Saturday the 18th, every thing being to be remov’d before Quarter-Day.

November 28, 1719 - This Remedy Took Away All Symptoms of Gout
I Robert Needham the Elder, of Histon near Monmouth, Gent. having been above 30 Years afflicted with the GOUT, and for many of those Years I had it in my Shoulders, Elbows, Hands, Knees and Feet, ann [sic] this frequently altogether St [sic] one and the same time; and thereby obliged for near 6 Weeks together at a time to lie both Night and Day in my Cloaths and my Stomach paul’d, and reduced to the utmost Weakness. I above mentioned, do for the Beuefit [sic] of others hereby Certifie, some time ago I was violeptly [sic] seized in both my Feet with the GOUT, expecting the same or worse Treatment I usually had but then and for some small time after I continuing to take of the Remedy preparing for this Edd [sic] by the Author of the New System of the GOUT and Reheumatism; [sic] Given Gratis at the Anodyne Necklace, without Temple-Bar, &c. having sant [sic] for it from London, to have in readiness by me; thro’ God Almighty’s Blessing in 3 Days time it carried off all Pain, preserved my Stomach very well, and kept my Body very easy, and in such good temper, that I could walk about my House, and do now walk abroad without Cane or Staff, which for most part of 6 Months I could not do, having frequently Pains in my Ancles and Fəet [sic], of which I am now entirely freed. November 1, 1719 - Do You Know Where This Former Excise-Man Might Have Died?
Whereas Wm. Mitchell, formerly a Supervisor in the Excise, late of Leachlade in Gloucestershire, and since imprison’d in Glocester Goal, but releas’d in April, 1718, suppos’d to be gone for Yorkshire, aud [sic] has not since been heard of, and is thought to be dead. This is to give Notice, that if any one can give Intelligence where he died, shall have 5 Guineas Reward, to be paid by Mr. Corell in Bridgewater-square, London. N.B. He was a Pensioner of the Excise.

A Rational Account of the Cause, Nature, Seat, and Cure of Gleets, and other such Weaknesses in either Sex usually attending Person [sic] after former ill Cures, Over-strainings, Hard Labours, Miscarriages, Self-Abuses, &c. the Ruin and Bane of the more flourishing Part of Mankind, punish’ in the Person of Onan, Gen. Ch. 28. v. 10. And therefore the Lord slew him, because he had done a detestable Thing. By the Author of the Practical Scheme. This Book is given Gratis up one Pair of Stairs at the Anodyne Necklace without Temple-Bar; at Mrs. Garway’s, the Sign of the Practical Scheme at the Royal Exchange-Gate; at Mr. Cooper’s the Corner of Charles-Court in the Strand. At which Places are also given Gratis the Practical Scheme of Secret Injuries and Broken Constitutions, the Gout System, andlac the Necke Essay. [sic, i.e. “and the Necklace Essay.”]
