The Midnight Prince

Seeing as it’s the Spoopy Season, (and after seeing Wtich!Chari and playing a Vampire Counts Campaign in Total War: Warhammer 2), I’ve decided to monster-fy (that’s a term now) dear Connie boi.

Behold, the Vampire!Connie AU

Connie is an ancient vampire. Son of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, he was given the Blood Kiss soon after a hunting accident, in an effort to save his life.

Had to be secreted away due to his nature, especially with the rise of Christianity. Despite that, he holds no ill will towards followers of that religion.

After the fall of the empire (both West and East), he considers himself the sole heir of the whole thing, despite the fact having no real clue how to re-claim it. (Also is super scornful to any nations that laid claim to it, especially the HRE)

Shortly after the invention of the printing press, he founds his own printing company, which is still around today and is among the Fortune 500. Connie has published multiple works over the centuries, under various pen names.

With the success of his company, Aurelius Printing Co., Connie has amassed a vast fortune (helped by a brief stint of piracy in the 17th century). As such, he owns a private villa in the Yellow District. (Could have it as one of the first buildings built there, have to chat with Sai about it)

Personality wise, Vamp!Connie is still ever the gentleman. Faaar more suave than normal Connie, he can also be pretty aloof at times. It’s hard to get close to him, since he’ll outlive you anyways. Still won’t stop him befriending all the peeps normal Connie befriends tho lmao

Thanks to his wealth, Connie can buy large amounts of blood to sate his hunger. I think there’s a legal way to buy blood lmao However, he does occasionally go out to hunt, his victims being the type of people normal Connie goes after. (Side note: Vamp!Connie went on a massive Nazi hunting spree during WW2, especially members of the SS)

 With the creation of the Siren Companies, Vamp!Connie founded his own, as a subsidiary of Aurelius Publishing. He took on the mantle of the Golden Eagle Siren, using it as the perfect cover for his other hunts.
