I do love how Moffat gets criticism for being too responsive to social issues and not responsive enough to them
There’s just no winning, is there?

I think that was part of the point of the episode…another part being if the Doctor and Donna hadn’t investigated, no one would have died (not that they could have known or helped that)
I don’t think so. Miss Foster was planning mass slaughter by converting all organs rather than just fat, so the investigation halted far more casualties (as seen in Turn Left).

Seven starts off kinda ugh…but there’s more Glitz in a few serials! And after that it gets really good really fast! And then the classic series ends forever.
I’m not sure if I’m saddened or relieved that I’ve almost reached the end.

Personally, not too fond of the new Ice Warriors, and I like the new Cybermen (but can we bring back the Tenth Planet VOICES???), but we’re allowed to have differing opinions
I don’t really see much difference in the new Ice Warriors. They improved the hands, but that’s about it. Seeing the face was a bit underwhelming, though.
And yes, The Tenth Planet voices were fantastic. I’d love them back.
You know me, I'm never shy in my criticism of Moffat, but Doctor Who is about time travel and it just seems most likely to me that the reason that Oswin is alive is that this story takes place BEFORE SHE DIED ISN'T TIME TRAVEL MAGICAL. Even if it wasn't, as long as they properly justify why she's alive (and it doesn't have to be in the first episode she appears in) I'm 100% cool with it, and probably even if they don't.
I assume you mean Osgood, yeah? It certainly seems likely. I’m pretty sure this story is either set in a different time or taking advantage of there being a Zygon Osgood in The Day of the Doctor. Either way, I doubt any death will be undone. And if it is, I don’t mind, as long as they do something good with it.

Imagine Leela, Strax, Ace, and Jamie, just, kicking ass across the universe
And the Doctor being totally mortified by the whole thing.

It’s a good story if you can hold your nose to the racism. If not, don’t bother
That just makes it all the more irritating for me. The good just comes with so much bad. I keep starting to enjoy it again, and the Mr. Yellowface Stereotype walks back in and I get frustrated again.
I look forward to seeing where the story goes, but I feel ashamed that this story winds up so high in the polls.

Subtract ten doctors and the tree and you’re not too far from the truth
Hell, even subtract three.
