Silent / Shout was a durational performance with a sound art component. The performer sat motionless with her face obscured for 3 hours, a tape loop around her head making revolutions through her lips. The audio on the tape was of her recorded whispers, collaged, layered, and further manipulated live through different levels of echo. The tape loop was 1 minute long, therefore making 180 revolutions in total before being cut in the center to mark the end of the performance.
