I’m so excited to be sharing this with you all! Have you ever ran out of your favourite concealer and felt really annoyed because you didnt want to use anything else? And you’ve literally scraped all the product out and theres nothing left? Well guess what! Heres a hack to get more product even when it seems like its finished!
My bestie Faeza told me about this hack months ago which she discovered whist modelling at a makeup academy (Plouise) and I didnt really take too much notice (sorry boo) but this week I was using my Nars concealer and not much product was left and I was so annoyed but then remembered what shed mentioned!
After doing some research I found that this was first written about by blogger Teresa Tam and since then other bloggers have shared their experience too! Such a great tip! Thank you Teresa!
Anyway, I was moaning to Faeza about how its nearly finished and I remembered this hack. So I asked her to show me and we were on FaceTime trying to make this work. It was pretty hilarious! I ruined my tweezers doing this but it was totally worth it!
My all time favourite concealer, the coverage is amazingggg and it highlights the under eye area so well. If you havent tried this already! Go buy it! I use the shade Ginger.
Before removing the stopper:
So as you can see in the picture above the stopper is like a little cap sitting at the top. Once removing this the concealer should look like:
Here the stopper has been removed so there is no extra cap at the top.
HOW TO REMOVE THE STOPPER:
You will need: Tweezers or Scissors. Make sure theyre ones you dont care about as they can get ruined or messy! I completely bent my tweezer!! (As you can see from the picture below). The struggle was real!
What to do: First separate the stopper with your tweezers by pushing it into the gap between the stopper and the ridge.
Once it has become loose push the tweezers in like this until you feel the bottom of the stopper and then pop the stopper out.
Heres the after picture. See how much product is on the applicator!? This way youll be able to make full use of the concealer and itll last for another week or two!
You can also use this hack on other concealers with similar packaging or stoppers, here are some pictures from lucymassadartistry.com on the Urban Decay concealer:
